Validation and Verification of GHG Inventories and GHG Projects
The emission of Greenhouse Gases (GHG), mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), into the atmosphere is one of the most significant environmental impacts of human activity, representing a threat to life on the planet.
When organizations avoid, reduce or even offset their own CO2 emissions, they contribute to global sustainability.
By signing the Paris Agreement, Brazil now aims to reduce emissions by 37% by 2025, 50% by 2030 in relation to what it was in 2005 and achieve net neutral emissions by 2050, that is, everything that the country emissions must be compensated with carbon capture sources, such as forest planting, conservation of native forests, recovery of degraded areas, among other technologies.
Investing in decarbonization brings numerous benefits, especially when it comes to organizations. Understand now what the main ones are:
- Adds value to the business and improves the company's image in the market;
- Contributes to society and the environment as a whole;
- Contributes to the economic development of sustainable sectors of the economy;
- It can generate tax reductions and sustainability certificates for the business;
- It can establish a commitment to global sustainability goals, attracting the attention of investors.
In line with private initiatives and state and national policies and international agreements made in favor of reducing global warming and minimizing climate change caused by anthropogenic actions, Tecpar Cert launches its Greenhouse Gas Program in 2023.
The program aims to contribute to sustainability initiatives, serving clients and organizations that are interested in carrying out verification and/or validation, by an independent third party, of their inventories and projects for the removal, reduction or emission of greenhouse gases (GHG).
Therefore, TECPAR is able to carry out Verification/Validation of Greenhouse Gas Inventories and Projects by offering the following services:
- Verification of GHG emission and removal inventories, according to the methodology chosen by the client;
- Validation of GHG reduction, removal and compensation projects, according to the scope and methodology chosen by the client or the program to which the project belongs or will be included.
We are certain that our proposal will fully adapt to the needs of your organization.
